The UAE Job Seeker Visa lets skilled professionals enter the UAE for 60, 90 or 120 days — with no employer sponsor required — specifically to attend interviews and explore employment. It’s the cleanest legal route into the UAE job market for Indian engineers, managers, specialists and recent graduates from top-ranked universities. This page covers eligibility, cost, documents and exactly how Arihant Travel files it for you.
What is the UAE Job Seeker Visa?
Launched as part of the UAE’s entry-permit reforms, the Job Seeker Visa (also called the Job Exploration Visa) is a single-entry visa that allows you to land in the UAE and look for work over a fixed window. You don’t need a UAE-based employer to sponsor your entry — you sponsor yourself, on the basis of your skill classification or education.
Unlike the standard tourist visa, it’s explicitly intended for employment search. That means you can openly attend interviews, meet recruiters and shortlist roles. It is not a work permit — you can’t actually start a job on it. Once you have an offer, the new employer converts your status to a regular employment visa.
Who is eligible?
Two pathways. Most applicants qualify under the first.
1. Skilled professional — MoHRE skill levels 1, 2 or 3
The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) classifies every occupation by skill level. Levels 1–3 cover:
- Level 1: Legislators, senior managers, executive directors and equivalent senior leadership.
- Level 2: Specialists in scientific, technical and human fields — engineers, doctors, lawyers, accountants, IT architects, university faculty.
- Level 3: Specialists in scientific, technical and human fields requiring less formal qualification — technicians, skilled trades, certified professionals.
If your current job title falls into one of these categories you almost certainly qualify. We can confirm your specific occupation against the MoHRE classification list before you apply — send your CV on WhatsApp.
2. Recent graduate from a top-ranked university
Graduates of the world’s top 500 universities (per the QS World University Rankings or equivalent) within the past two years are eligible, as are graduates of UAE-recognised academic institutions. This route is particularly relevant for fresh Indian IIT, IIM, BITS, NIT and top private university alumni who want to enter the UAE market without going through a recruiter first.
Duration and cost
The Job Seeker Visa comes in three durations. You pick at application time and pay accordingly:
- 60-day Job Seeker Visa — for short, focused job hunts where you have already lined up interviews. From AED 1,200 all-in.
- 90-day Job Seeker Visa — the most common choice. Enough time to schedule interviews, do practical assignments and negotiate offers. From AED 1,600 all-in.
- 120-day Job Seeker Visa — for senior roles where the hiring cycle is longer, or for sectors with multi-stage interviews. From AED 2,200 all-in.
The visa cannot be extended. Once it expires you must either convert to an employment visa (if you’ve received an offer) or exit the UAE.
Documents you’ll need
- Clear colour scan of your passport, valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.
- Recent passport-size photograph, white background, JPEG.
- Attested degree certificate proving your education matches the eligible skill level. For Indian degrees, attestation is via MEA + UAE Embassy in India.
- Updated CV in English, ideally one page, listing roles and impact.
- Recent 3-month bank statement showing financial sufficiency for the visa duration. Rough threshold: AED 5,000 per month of intended stay.
- Optional but helpful: experience letter from your current employer, recommendation letters, professional certifications.
How to apply with us
- Send your documents — CV, passport copy, degree certificate — on WhatsApp or email.
- Free eligibility & document check — we confirm your MoHRE skill level or top-500 graduate status, and tell you exactly what’s missing before you pay.
- Pay and we file — we submit through ICA with the appropriate skill-level evidence.
- Visa delivered to your inbox — usually 5–10 working days. Print it and carry it alongside your passport when you fly to the UAE.
Tips to land a UAE job during your visa window
- Line up interviews before you fly. Use LinkedIn, Bayt and Naukri Gulf to schedule first-rounds before you arrive. Day one in Dubai is too late to start outreach.
- Stay close to business clusters. JLT, DIFC, Internet City and Business Bay for tech / finance / consulting roles; Sharjah and Ajman for industrial roles.
- Get a UAE phone number on day one. Recruiters call — an Indian number reduces your callback rate.
- Carry attested copies in person. Even though you uploaded them with the visa, hiring teams sometimes want to see them at the offer stage.
- Have your offer convert quickly. Once you accept, push the employer’s PRO to start the status change immediately — the Job Seeker Visa cannot be extended.
